The short version. Right now this site sets no cookies at all. Nothing is tracking you here. If we ever add advertising or analytics, a banner will ask you first and nothing loads until you say yes.

What a cookie is

A small file a website asks your browser to keep, so it can recognise something next time — that you are logged in, what you put in a basket, or, in the advertising case, that you are the same person who visited a different site last week.

What this site uses today

Nothing. No advertising cookie, no analytics cookie, no third-party script watching you read.

You can check this yourself: open your browser's developer tools on any page here, look under Storage or Application, and the cookie list is empty. We would rather you verified it than took our word for it.

The one thing the site keeps locally is whichever choice you make on the consent banner, once there is something to consent to. That is stored in your own browser, it never leaves it, and it exists so we do not ask you the same question on every page.

What is coming, and how it will work

We expect to add advertising and measurement tools — a Meta pixel and Google Ads conversion tracking are the likely ones — so we can tell which advertising is worth paying for.

When that happens:

• A banner will appear on your first visit, asking.
• Nothing loads until you accept. Decline, or ignore it, and the tracking scripts are never fetched at all — not loaded and switched off, not fetched.
• Accepting or declining is one click each. Neither is hidden behind the other, and the site works the same either way.
• You can change your mind whenever you like — the link at the bottom of any page reopens the choice.
• This page will be updated to list exactly what was added, what it does and how long it lasts, before it goes live.

Cookies we cannot set for you

Our host, Cloudflare, may set a strictly necessary cookie to keep the site up and to tell a person apart from an attack. It carries no advertising identifier and cannot be used to profile you.

Turning them off yourself

Every browser will let you block or delete cookies for a site, and most will let you refuse third-party ones outright. Look under Settings, then Privacy. Doing that will not break anything here.

Browsers also send a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. We have nothing running that would ignore one.
